Room Roast is a private app for uploading a room photo, getting a funny roast, and receiving one practical redesign plan. This policy explains what the app collects and how that data is used.

Information Room Roast Collects
- Room photos you choose to upload or take in the app.
- Generated after images, roasts, plans, Amazon search phrases, and target prices created from your room photo.
- Budget choices and optional request text you enter.
- Anonymous account identifiers used to save private app state and recover results.
- Subscription and entitlement status from Apple and RevenueCat when subscriptions are enabled.
- Basic product analytics, such as starting a roast, completing a result, opening a search link, or tapping share.
- Operational logs needed to keep the service working, debug failures, and prevent abuse.
How Room Roast Uses Information
- To analyze your room photo and generate a roast, redesign plan, generated after image, and Amazon search suggestions.
- To save your results privately so you can reopen them later.
- To process subscriptions, check access, restore purchases, and provide customer support.
- To measure whether the app is working, diagnose bugs, and improve the product experience.
- To enforce rate limits, protect the service, and prevent misuse.
Photos And Generated Images
Room photos are used to create your Room Roast result. The app strips photo metadata such as EXIF data before upload where supported. Uploaded photos and generated images are private by default and are not published to a public community feed.
Third-Party Services
Room Roast uses service providers to run the app:
- OpenAI processes room photos, text prompts, generated plans, and generated images.
- Supabase stores private account, project, queue, and image data.
- Google Cloud Run hosts the Room Roast backend and worker services.
- RevenueCat and Apple handle subscription status, purchase history, and entitlement checks when subscriptions are enabled.
- PostHog may be used for product analytics if analytics are enabled in the app build.
- Amazon search links open outside Room Roast. Room Roast provides search suggestions, not verified listings, carts, or purchases.
Data Retention And Deletion
Room Roast keeps saved roasts, generated images, and related app data so results can be recovered and reopened. You can delete saved roasts in the app where deletion controls are available. You can also request deletion by contacting us at mark@kestrelspark.com.
Sharing
Room Roast does not post your room photos or generated results publicly by default. If you use the share action, your device’s share sheet controls where that content goes.
Children
Room Roast is not intended for children and is not directed to the Kids Category.
